Christmas Tree Recycling Event

We all love Christmas traditions and we know how important is to you and your family to have that wonderful smell of a live Christmas tree in your home. Let’s keep that tradition going buy disposing your live tree the correct way. Instead of leaving it at your curb for solid waste to put in our landfill, drop it off at Paul Tyson Field to get “chipped” and to be re-purposed. You can even bring your kids to watch the trees go through the chipper. The “Chipping of the Green”: Christmas Tree Recycling Event  is set for 10 a.m.-3p.m. Jan. 4, 2020. Volunteers will be on hand and can help get your tree off the roof, out of the trunk or car, so you won’t have to get out on a possibly chilly day. The plus side of going out of your way to deliver your tree is that you can also go home with a freshly scented bag of mulch and a sapling to replace the tree that was cut down for the holidays! The event is open to everyone. If you would like to volunteer, please email Ashley or Linda at and we will make sure you are fed and kept warm.
