Cowboys Military Combine
Registration is now open for the Dallas Cowboys Military Combine Qualifier Saturday at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco.
Events include the 40-yard dash, broad jump, sit-ups, push-ups and endurance tests.
Participants have a chance to move on to the finals, set for March 31 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which could earn them a chance to announce a 2018 draft pick. Fans also get to meet Dallas Cowboys alumni, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Rowdy. For more information, go to Hood.ArmyMWR.com
Wild West Night
The Fort Hood Spouses’ Club presents Wild West Night from 7-10 p.m. at Club Hood. The event will feature live music, games, a photo station, hor d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Women’s History Observance

A Fort Hood Resilience Expo is set for 9-11:30 a.m. March 22 at the Resiliency Campus on Battalion Ave. and 31st St. The event is open to Soldiers, Family members, retirees and civilian employees.

Lifeguard and waterfront certification classes will be held March 12-16. March 23-28, April 6-11, April 20-25, May 4-9, June 4-18 and June 11-15 at the indoor pool at 62nd Street and Support Avenue Bldg. 23001. Fort Hood-area swimming pools require lifeguard certification. BLORA Beach requires lifeguard and waterfront certification.
Classes are set for 5-9 p.m. Monday-Wednesday; 7-9 p.m., Friday and 8-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; the first day of class, participants must pass these skills in order to continue in the class. It is strongly recommended that candidates practice the prerequisites before attending the course.
• Swim continuously, using front crawl and breast stroke (must demonstrate rhythmic breathing – face in the water).
• Lifeguard class: 300-meter swim
• Waterfront class: 550-meter swim
• Two-minute tread using just the legs, with hands under your armpits.
• Timed brick. Within one minute 40 seconds, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breast stroke, surface dive to 10-12 feet, retrieve a 10 pound brick, return to surface and swim back to start.
In addition for waterfront class:
• Swim five meters, submerge and retrieve three rings placed five meters apart, resurface and continue to swim five meters to complete.

NAF Vehicle Auction
The Non-Appropriated Funds Vehicle Auction is set for 8 a.m. March 24 at Yard 36 on the corner of Clarke Road and Tank Destroyer Blvd. Unclaimed and impounded vehicles will be auctioned off at the event. A standard live auction format will be used with open bidding. All sales are final “as is, where is, no warranty.” All major credit cards accepted.
The cost is $2 and includes bidding card and auction listing.
The event is open to the public.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
A Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt is set for 6 p.m. March 29 at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area.
More than 65,000 eggs and prizes hidden for your kids. Pre-hunt activities including inflatables, games, magic act, concessions and photos with the Easter Bunny begin at 6 p.m.
Don’t forget to bring a flashlight, egg basket and an adult.
The gate closes precisely at 8:15 p.m. and the hunts begin at 8:30 p.m.
Arrive early to allow adequate time to enter the gate park and locate the appropriate hunting field. The event is open to all. Hunt age groups are 2-3 years, 4-7 years and 8-12 years. An adult is required to hunt with children 2-7 years of age; plan accordingly, as all fields hunt simultaneously.

The Grill closure
The Grill at the Sportmen’s Center is closed and the ProShop has moved to Bldg. 141 (next door) due to repairs at the center. Hunting and fishing licenses are available along with reservations. The facility will reopen when repairs are complete.
Alcoholics Anonymous meets from 11:45-12:45 every Thursday at Black Jack Chapel (Bldg. 31001, 73rd Street and Battalion Avenue, across from Popeye’s).
