On Aug. 4, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a private (E-1) assigned to 1st Cavalry Division, was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of eight specifications of wrongful use of various controlled substances and three specifications of wrongful possession of various controlled substances in violation of Art. 112a, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to 240 total days of confinement and a bad-conduct discharge.

At a general court-martial convened Aug. 6 at Fort Hood, a specialist assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was convicted by a military panel composed of officers and enlisted members, contrary to his pleas, of two specifications of attempted sexual assault in violation of Article 80, UCMJ. The members sentenced the accused to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit all pay and allowances, to be confined for 12 months, and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.

On Aug. 12, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a specialist assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of two specifications of attempted sexual assault, one specification of failure to obey a general regulation, and one specification of sexual assault in violation of Articles 80, 92 and 120, UCMJ.

At a general court-martial convened Aug. 13 at Fort Hood, a sergeant assigned to 11th Theater Tactical Signal Brigade, was convicted by a military panel composed of officers and enlisted members, contrary to his pleas, of one specification of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. The accused was acquitted of two specifications of assault consummated by battery and of one specification of reckless operation of a vehicle in violation of Articles 128 and 113, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be reduced to the grade of E-2 and to be confined for 45 days.

On Aug. 18, at a special court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a specialist assigned to 3rd Cav. Regiment was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120, UCMJ.

At a special court-martial convened Aug. 25 at Fort Hood, a specialist assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of two specifications of assault, two specifications of failure to obey order or regulation, and one specification of general article, extramarital sexual conduct, in violation of Articles 92, 128, and 134, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to 120 days confinement for the assault, 210 days for the aggravated assault to be served concurrently, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge.

On Sept 1, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a chief warrant officer (CW3) assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his pleas, of two specifications of wrongful use of methamphetamine and one specification of wrongful use of fentanyl in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to forfeit $1,162 pay per month for two months and to be confined for 30 days. A pretrial agreement had no effect on the sentence.

At a general court-martial convened Sept. 17 at Fort Hood, a private (PV2) assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of three specifications of sexual assault in violation of Article 120, UCMJ.

On Sept. 24, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a first lieutenant assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was convicted by a military panel of officers, contrary to his plea, of one specification of sexual assault in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. The accused was acquitted of one specification of fraternization in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be confined for 12 months and to be dismissed from the service.

At a general court-martial convened Sept. 24 at Fort Hood, a private (PV2) assigned to 11th TTSB was convicted by a military judge, pursuant to his plea of one specification of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. The military judge sentenced the accused to be reduced to the grade of E-1, to forfeit all pay and allowances, to be confined to 121 days, to be reprimanded, and to be discharged from the service with a bad-conduct discharge. A pretrial agreement had no effect on the sentence.

On Sept. 30, at a general court-martial convened at Fort Hood, a specialist assigned to 1st Cav. Div., was convicted by a military panel composed of officers and enlisted members, contrary to his pleas, of two specifications of sexual assault, in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. The members sentenced the accused to be confined for 6 months and to be discharged from the service with a dishonorable discharge.
