Thanksgiving meal today, DFAC hours

Fort Hood dining facilities will be offering special Thanksgiving meals today. Mid-day meals will be served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Breakfast and dinner hours vary, depending on DFAC. This month’s DFAC schedule can be found online at https://bit.ly/2QMd1iR. Dining facilities are open to all Department of Defense identification card holders and their guests, including retirees and reserve component members. The cost of the meal for non-meal card holders is $9.10, paid in cash only. There is also special rate of $6.80 each for families of service members in the grade E-4 and below.

AAFES Thanksgiving hours

The following AAFES stores will be open on Thanksgiving day: The III Corps Shoppette will remain open 24 hours, West Fort Hood Troop Store will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., North Fort Hood Troop Store will be open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Dunkin Donuts will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and the T.J. Mills Starbucks will be open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

CTC closed for Thanksgiving week

Central Texas College will be closed through Friday for the Thanksgiving week. There will be no classes held at the central or Fort Hood campuses.

Administrative offices and classes will resume Dec. 2.

Housing e-mail survey ongoing

The Army Housing Survey was sent to the primary email address of residents of Fort Hood Family Housing-Lendlease Nov. 12. Housing officials encourage residents to complete the survey.

Any resident on post still needing a survey can email nking@forthoodfh.com, or contact FHFH-Lendlease through their Facebook page and provide them your name, address and email address. The last day to complete the survey is Dec. 12.

Two “golden tickets” to be given away

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is giving one lucky military moviegoer a “golden” opportunity to see free flicks during December.

At a special screening of “The Polar Express” at Palmer Theater 2 p.m. Nov. 30, all moviegoers will be entered to win two “golden tickets,” which can be used to see one movie a week for free in December. The contest is part of the Exchange’s Military Family Month celebration. Each ticket purchase will count toward an entry for the two “golden tickets,” and one winner will be drawn.
