Career Fair set for Sept. 22

Join the Fort Hood Education Center as they host the College, Credentialing and Career Fair from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sept. 22.

The fair will be held at the Fort Hood Education Center.

Three-day ‘Salute to Our Military’

The Fort Hood Directorate of Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation is putting on a three-day celebration, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, at Hood Stadium. The events will include live music, carnival rides, a petting zoo, food and beverages.

The Salute to Our Military events will be held at Hood Stadium and is free to all Department of Defense ID card holders.

Sept. 29:

• Gates open from 4-10 p.m.

• Aaron Tippen performs at 6 p.m.

• Gary LeVox, 8 p.m.

Sept. 30:

• BOSS Single Soldiers Day (closed event), noon – 4 p.m.

• Gates open 5-10 p.m.

• The Surfers, 6 p.m.

• Flo Rida, 8 p.m.

Oct. 1:

• Gates open noon – 10 p.m.

• White Denim, 6 p.m.

• Blue October, 8 p.m.

Retiree Appreciation Day

Fort Hood will host its Retiree Appreciation Day, Oct. 28-29. On Oct. 28, events include a golf tournament, retirement ceremony and social. Additionally, free flu shots will be available to the retiree community.

The next day, the Fort Hood Identification Card Office will open for the retiree community, as well as legal services. The Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center will host a Retiree Health Fair, the Lonestar Conference Center will conduct a County Fair and the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment will host a special demonstration at their stables.
