Travel restriction amended
Fort Hood announced Monday that all Soldiers are now permitted to travel up to 100 miles from the installation. Soldiers may also request authority to travel outside the 100-mile radius, up to 250 miles, with a DA Form 31, request for pass or leave, which can be approved by the first lieutenant colonel in their chain of command.
Additionally, Soldiers may request travel outside of 250 miles with a DA Form 31, which can be approved by the first general officer in their chain of command.
Fort Hood Tax Center re-opens
The Fort Hood Tax Center re-opened for business Wednesday. Authorized patrons may use the free tax preparation service by appointment only.
The tax center will began accepting appointments Monday.
Client drop-offs are scheduled for 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., and returns will be prepared from 1-5 p.m.
The Fort Hood Tax Center is located in Building 13, west of III Corps Headquarters on Support Avenue.

The tax center will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, through July 15.
