Lane closures on Business 190

The Texas Department of Transportation (Waco District) will conduct repair operations on a portion of Business 190 in Killeen, beginning Friday, weather permitting.

The project will repair pavement sections of the Bus 190 Exit/Entrance ramps in the vicinity of the Ft Hood Main Gate.

The work will take place daily between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. and is expected to last about one week, weather permitting.  Work is not currently planned for Saturday or Sunday.  One lane and center turn lane will remain open throughout the project.

Motorists can expect temporary lane closures, flaggers and temporary delays within the project area. TxDOT cautions motorists to be alert for construction personnel and equipment in the work areas.

Hood Howdy

Hood Howdy, an information fair for newcomers to Fort Hood, is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Feb. 21 at Club Hood. The event is free and open to the public.

Black History observance

A Black History Month observance will be held from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Phantom Warrior Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

Acting Auditions for SASHA IV

Auditions for the annual Sexual Assault and Sexual Harrassment Awareness presentation will be conducted in the 3rd Cavalry Regiment SHARP classroom, Bldg. 9409, from 9:30-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m., Feb. 19-21. Selected participates will be announced on Feb. 22. Auditions are open to all Soldiers of Fort Hood.

SASHA IV will be presented to Fort Hood April 16-18 at Palmer Theater during two viewings per day, at 9:30-11 a.m. and 1:30-3 p.m.
