“We were displaced from Tuesday thru Friday. I have a 9-year-old, and we did get assistance from our local church and stayed there.”
“Our new home didn’t have proper insulation, and with my fiancée out of the country, I just had my dog. I had the wonderful help of 1st Lts. Paley opening their home to me and my dog and were gracious hosts.”
“I personally wasn’t affected but I saw how it affected my family and friends. A lot of people lost power and it was concerning. My house is always open to anybody, and I feel for anyone that was affected.”
“I had just come back from leave and we didn’t have any food, because I didn’t plan for it. Then we couldn’t drive anywhere … and not having heat in the barracks sucked. I had a lot of my buddies help me out.”
“I was personally affected because my sister who was visiting was stuck in town for a week, so she couldn’t get home to her daughter, or to her job, and was forced to take leave from work.”
