How do I get a news reader?

What are News Feeds?
News Feeds, also known as RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds, allow you to get the latest news and articles from the Fort Hood Sentinel sent directly to your computer or handheld device without having to visit the site every day.  Anytime new content is published to the site, your list will be updated instantly.

Our news feeds include headlines, article introductions and links back to our website for full articles, more detailed information and photos.

How can I use them?
Our News Feeds are completely free and easy to use.  FortHoodSentinel.com offers several various News Feeds for use in a news reader.  This is software that checks your feeds for new content and allows you to read it as it is added to the site, similar to receiving an email message.

Once you have chosen a reader, simply subscribe to the News Feed of your choice.  Clicking on any of the orange buttons spread across the website will give you the ability to either copy/paste or drag/drop the given URL into your news reader.
