Otto T. Waycott

Sgt. Otto Thorsen Waycott, 21, of Smith River, Calif., died Sunday of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Del Norte, Calif.
Waycott, an infantryman, entered the military in July 2006. He had been assigned to 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Hood since February 2007.
Waycott’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal.
