Court Martial results:

At a Special Court-Martial June 6, Spc. Jason Droddy of 1st Battalion, 229th Aviation Regiment, 21st Cavalry Brigade, pled guilty to Absence without Leave and Wrongful Use of Cocaine. A military judge sentenced him to 60 days confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1 and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-Conduct Discharge.



At a General Court-Martial June 7, Spc. Curtis Lacefield, 2nd Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, was found guilty of Receiving and Possessing Child Pornography. This conviction will require the Soldier to register as a sex offender in accordance with federal law. A military judge sentenced him to nine years confinement, and to be discharged from the service with a Dishonorable Discharge.



Pvt. James Baxter of 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd BCT, 1st Cav. Div., pled guilty to Desertion at a Special Court-Martial, June 18. A military judge sentenced him to 4 months confinement, and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-Conduct Discharge.



June 19 at a General Court-Martial, Pfc. Bryan Hanks, 1st Battalion, 21st Field Artillery Regiment, 41st Fires Brigade, 1st Cav. Div., was found guilty of Maiming and Aggravated Assault upon a Child. An officer panel sentenced him to 30 months confinement and to be discharged from the service with a Dishonorable Discharge.



At a General Court-Martial June 20, Sgt. 1st Class Martin Alamo of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cav. Div., pled guilty to Larceny and Wrongful Disposition of Government Property. A military judge sentenced him to 20 months confinement, reduction to the grade of E-4 and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-Conduct Discharge.



Pvt. James Martin, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade, pled guilty to Absence without Leave, June 20, at a Special Court-Martial. A military judge sentenced him to four months confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1, forfeiture of $900 pay per month for four months and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-Conduct Discharge.



At a Special Court-Martial June 22, Spc. Troy Caress, 62nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade, pled guilty to Absence without Leave and Wrongful Appropriation of Private Property. A military judge sentenced him to five months confinement, reduction to the grade of E-2 and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-Conduct Discharge.
